Teodoro Romero
34-year old center Teodoro Romero (202-C-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Arce and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 16 points and 24 rebounds, while his team beat Juayua (#1, 6-2) 66-60. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Arce maintains the 2nd position in Salvadorean league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Arce will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. Romero has many years of experience at Arce, through which he has constantly improved. Romero has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.0ppg) and averages solid 3.0bpg and 53.4% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Harrison Rieger (193-F-98) of top-ranked Juayua. He is American forward in his first season at Juayua. In the last game Rieger recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Juayua lost that game 60-66 to slightly lower-ranked Arce (#2, 5-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Juayua still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team has currently 6-2 record. Rieger is a newcomer at Juayua and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.1ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 17.0rpg and 3.3apg.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Felix Aleman (SG-95) of Nejapa (#4). Aleman scored 25 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Aleman's great performance Nejapa lost 61-81 to #1 ranked Juayua. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Nejapa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Aleman he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Aleman has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.4ppg (4th best), rebounds with 9.6rpg (5th best) and assists with 3.4apg (best passer).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
